Pi Pay Co., Ltd is a Financial technology (FinTech) company, a pioneer of its kind in Cambodia. Pi Pay is an aggregation combining payment solutions and lifestyle features through our innovative technological advancements.

Pi Pay is a one-stop all-in-one application that enables you to pay your bills without using cash at a huge variety of shops, outlets and restaurants in Cambodia. Finger scan, QR code or In-App purchases. The possibilities are endless.

You can also send money to other Pi Pay users, cash-in and cash-out at designated Pi Pay Hubs or send money directly to and from your digital wallet to your ABA Bank account. Plus you can chat and exchange messages, photos, videos, etc. with family and friends. It’s safe, it’s quick and it’s convenient.

Tomas Pokorny, CEO of Pi Pay, said the platform is targeting young, internet-savvy Cambodians in the 17-30 age range in a bid to become the local equivalent of regional e-payment giants WeChat and Alipay. Pi Pay has the backing to succeed. The company is a subsidiary of Anco Group, a local conglomerate headed by businessman Rithy Samnang, the son-in-law of prominent tycoon and ruling-party Senator Kok An. Its shareholders include Singaporean businessmen, while Malaysia’s CIMB Bank acts as the custodian of the firm’s trust account, according to The Phnom Penh Post.

The consumption of e-wallet apps, already extremely popular in China, is boosting fast in Thailand, Malaysia and Indonesia, along with Vietnam declaring earlier this year its intentions to rely on cash for less than 10 percent of all transactions by 2020.

SmartLuy and others will have to contend, however, with highly popular WING, a mobile payment system launched by ANZ Bank in 2009 and now part of the Royal Group of Companies. WING has over a million users, but the majority of them are unsubscribed: the company told Reuters last year that they had 50,000 subscribers.

Besides Wing, SmartLuy and Pi Pay, Maybank already launched a new mobile banking app. Similarly, ABA Bank officially released ABA Mobile, its new mobile banking app for iOS and Android.

The Pi Pay app just released this June 2017 with following functions and descriptions.
